I hope he's as good as Juan says he is. F1 needs real talent the likes of Verstappen, not the pay-for-a-seat types like Stroll (I guess pay-for-a-team is more appropriate). Talent usually runs in a family and Juan is one helluva a racer. Good luck to his son.24-08-2021 21:43

Something is wrong when Daddy has to repeatedly remind the public through these (paid for, I bet) articles that Lancie really is great, doesn't deserve these demeaning comments, and it's all because people are soooo jealous of the money. It's not jealousy, Daddy. It's disgust that someone with money can buy an entire team and insert his mediocre kid into a seat in which he doesn't belong. You really expect people to respect the kid as a racer after that? Every time you write c*** like this you affirm the fact that he can't do it on his own. I've been following F1 for 60 years. I'd get up at 4 AM to watch a race because video taping wasn't available back then. The cars were loud, the drivers outspoken and individualistic. There were real people driving the cars, and the fans felt that. Now everything is corporate. Everything is about selling the product and not doing anything that will affect the bottom line. F1 has became a merely showcase for logos and corpspeak. The drivers now talk in cliches, as if following a script. They never say anything that even hints at being controversial. It's become a colossal bore, the engines sound like s**t, and the thought of getting up at 4 AM to watch what it has become makes me laugh... and cry over what we've lost.07-02-2021 12:36
